| I've discussed this with Isk of An Tir Dearg and Surt, both agree its a good idea. This is the general idea. It's a glorified practice, but is between An Tir Dearg and Us and anyone wishing to attend. The idea was to find a spot halfway between us. Mesquite was the first idea, but that is alot more of a drive for us than them. However, Grant Bowler County Park in Logandale (Where the Clark County fair is held) is pretty much halfway. According to Google Maps its 61.4 miles from us (1hour 1 min drive) and 72.3 miles from St. George (1 hour 14 min drive) Has anyone been to that park, any clue to weather it would be suitable for a daylong fight? Time period. I assuming Logandale is just as hot as here. So the fight would either have to be late in the evening, a night battle, or in the Fall sometime. We would more than likely have the numbers so I don't know if An Tir Dearg would want a "Realm Tribute Battle" by that I mean, best out of 3 Realm Fights with the looser paying the winning Realm $1.00 dollar in tribute. Anyways, to plan for this, we need to scout out the park and then decide on a date. Konradr | |

| Well if you were to ask for more money in tribute, could lead to bad feelings or heaven forbid, cheating. $1 makes it just for fun.

| I've never been there, we'll have to scout the site, but this will be fun. I vote for later in the year so we can do it during the day. | |

| As soon as I get a chance on a weekend, I'll drive out there and take a look see.
I know there's also a park in mesquite that might be possible too.

| Going to "google maps" and switching to satelite view, Grant Bowler park in Logandale looks kind of small. It has only one gazebo visible. It has tree's along the north and east edge of the park and a huge open area. However, these looks can be deceiving. There is a parking lot on the north edge. The east edge has some kind of road or trail and then the Virgin river is next to that. Across the street on the west side is a mormon church with a huge parking lot.
I'll have to recon it when I can for a close up evaluation.
Mesquite on the other hand seems to have 3 possible parks that look like they are bigger. but maybe no trees. 1. Jensen trailside park. 2. Hafen lane park. 2. Charles Arthur Hughes middle school has a very large grass athletic field. 3. Pioneer park has two softball fields and a large grass field by a parking lot, it also has a huge what looks like a Tree orchard, all trees set in a pattern. Woodland fight? This park is right across from the Police department building. I don't know if that's good or bad. 4. Virgin valley high school has an athletic field too. Not as big as the middle school one.
If any of you ATD guys make a trip to vegas for any reason, maybe you can pull over in Mesquite and take a look. Pioneer park, and the highschool are on the southside of I15 to the east of the Sandhill Blvd exit.

| O' Royal Administrator's, please put November 13 as a calendar event. Realm Practice will be at Grant Bowler park in Logandale, where we shall conduct a friendly border skirmish with our neighboring Realm of An Tir Dearg. (Spartans, Romans, Barbarians, Oh my!)
They have set it to their calendar's and have set aside November 6th as a weapons build day so they will bring new and improved weapons to destroy us with! We must be prepared!

| Somebody seriously screwed up my account. I can't create an avatar anymore and when I post a topic, I can't put a poll on it or create a calendar event. Those menu's don't even show up! WTF!

UPDATE: I can post a poll but not the calender event. I still can't upload an avatar. | |

| I can post a calender event from the War Wolf Forum. Not the regular forum. So I posted via the War Wolf forum and it showed up on the Calender.

| BUMP.
Next Saturday, November 13th, is Border War, are inter realm practice with An Tir Dearg at Grant Bowler Park in Logandale.
Our normal practice will thus be at Logandale. We should meet up at Desert Breeze park at 10am and then head to Logandale in a convoy of Barad'Dun might to repel the intruders, or party, whichever comes first. We should be in Logandale by 11am (that would be 12pm utah time).
This will be a potluck so that after killing our neighbors, we can BS with them in Valhalla sipping drinks and eating whatnot's.
You have two weeks to get your preparations in order, to repair or make weapons, to fix garb, (Yes, this should be a mandatory garb event), ask for time from work, etc, etc, etc.
We don't need to worry about waivers or age limits, it is only a practice.
We intend to introduce An Tir Dearg to the mighty Barad'Dun Dragon!

| A messenger from the East has ridden to the Tower delivered dire warnings to the Adunakhor. It will be war! An Tir Dearg mobilizes and has already occupied the pass between the mountains bordering our Realm. They claim the territory of Mesquite and Logandale was abandoned by Barad'dun and thus is fair game. Our Adunakhor has sent out the RED war arrow. I have accepted and as many men as I can bring, I will bring. November 13th will be our Realm's day of Destiny in our own backyard. The Realm needs you, The Adunakhor needs you! Your fellow Warriors of Barad'Dun need you! Will you let them down? I ride with the King! My War Wolves will be by his side! To Victory or Death! there can be no in between! Who rides with us????????? The War arrow is before you! Do you accept it? Konradr | |
