| Does anyone have access to one? I was looking at some sword fry tech, but the only thing missing to pump some out is finding a way to route a spot for a core to slide into. | |

| If I cut about 30 sword fry (it's a piece of foam, 40x1.5x1.5") could he route a half circle down each one? So that when you fold it over a piece of core can fit in it? I'll give you a few of the sword kits to compensate? A sword fry is a kit, that folds over a core, so all you have to do is DAP and pinch it (basically) onto your preferred core. http://wrapshot.wordpress.com/2011/03/27/how-i-make-my-swords/Essentially how those blades are done. | |

| Sure, what diameter is the core... is it for the kitespar? That would be just a tad over 1/2 " if I read the article correctly.

| I'd probably shoot for 1/2" exact, since we use kitespar, pvc, and various other half inch cores that would work nicely with the sword kits. The solid, hollow, and kitespar fiberglass we get has an outside wall of 1/2" usually. The more snug the better. I can bring a sample core over when we do the cut to make sure it's perfect. | |

| Don't forget about the porous nature of foam. If you want a truly snug fit you might try a 7/16 half round cove. If one even exists. Since the medium is foam and we all know that it will stretch and give a little, a smaller aperature might provide a better, more snug fit. I'm interested to know how it turns out. Would it be possible for you to try a Velora stack as well? | |

| What we can do... is adjust the depth of the cut... this changes the diameter. | |

| The foam we'll be using is microcell, and very dense like Volora, we can experiment a couple times til we find what works.
I'm ordering a 60x76x1.5 sheet of foam we can play around with on the blade kit ideas. Maybe if it gets here by the weekennd of combatcon we can do it? | |

| I'd be interested in trying out this method as well, I've heard good things about the MC foam, and blade fries do make things so much easier.
