Mods, please move this as appropriate
I feel there's some unintentional misinformation out there, so let me clear the air. I've recently been asked by several members about cores that I or ATD has for sale. In short, the answer is "We don't have any".
However, we do have access to four foot long 3/8" and 1/2" diameter solid round fiberglass rods from a brick and mortar farm supply store here in St. George. I believe you guys would also have at least several similar stores locally, but if you do not, we can and are more than willing to pick up these for your needs and either ship them or hand them off when we next meet. They are both under $2.00 per core.
The 3/8" is suitable for safe javelins (single core!) or very short blues, and the 1/2" can go outwards of about 3 feet or so. Some make reds out of the 1/2", but the longer they are, the more they flex. They'll definitely flex out within one year as a min red. You can double core them to prevent that. Ideally, single core 1/2" makes a good 30" sword.
Now, that said, we do have internet sites from which we purchase high-tech cores (square and tubes) and bandshoppe poles. The link to our catch-all page is
here. Please feel free to use this resource and make your purchases.
Hope this clears up any confusion.
