| Recruitment and Marketing
I for one am pretty butthurt at our numbers. Dag is a game that gets exponentially more fun when you have more people, so how can we recruit? I have a few ideas, but it would require you guys to allow me to create a "Las Vegas Dagorhir" page. This is one of those pages that you are allowed to "like" but not post in. You have most likely seen them before; they are the pages that will make an update every now and then and you will see their stuff in your news feed. A lot of businesses do this and let you know when something big like a sale is going on. I would like to make a page for "Las Vegas Dagorhir" because once I like it and you guys start liking it, that filters through other people's news feeds. Then they can click on it and see what we are about, and see what updates I make. An example of an update would be "Practice Cancelled Due to Wind! Sorry Guys!" Or "Who's ready for Althing? Make sure to bring snacks!" It would also boost our google rankings, which I will go into in a minute.
Currently I work in online and social media marketing and I've learned quite a bit about it. When I stop being lazy, I will make a few hubs and articles that tell people what Dagorhir is, and more importantly, that it is in Las Vegas. These will all have keywords (Las Vegas Dagorhir, Las Vegas Larp, Las Vegas fighting sports, etc) and backlinks that lead people to our website/future Facebook Page. When I create the article, it would be cool if you guys shared it with your friends so they can click on it too. Each view will boost our ranking and some of them may even click on a link that leads them to our site. Not only that, but it will improve our Google ranking so that if anyone in Las Vegas types "western martial arts" or "foam fighting Las Vegas" our website will show up at the top of their search. Once the article is created, I will put it in the Humanz Vs. Zombies group and see if I can't get any recruits from there. The overall goal of this is to increase our web presence so that anyone with an inkling of interest may stumble across us on Google (which reminds me, hyperlink and /like the article on stumbleupon).
On a more extreme note, I had the idea to encourage recruitment. Kind of like a recruitment blitz, we would award people who manage to bring friends out. Many online games have been incredibly successful because getting your friends to play benefits everyone. Hell, my friend's mom plays World of Warcraft now and has two level capped characters. Implementing this kind of system would benefit us all, but all I've thought about is the general idea and not the details.
TL;DR Let Grek make a Las Vegas Dagorhir Page for news/updates/likes, Grek will try to online market Las Vegas Dagorhir, Grek thinks we should implement a rewards system for people who bring friends. | |

| I think this is a fantastic idea the only hang up is the rewards would have to be ironed out. On the rewards I think it is a bit much honestly but that is just my opinion. but literally everything else I agree with so stamp of aproval | |

| not sure about the rewards idea either, might make things turn ugly but it certainly would motivate people. I personally love the idea of the like page, i have plenty of friends to show this to. make it ASAP please! | |

| Think the rewards should be simple stuff like Fancy garb shirt/pants, cloak, maybe even a weapon or shield blank. | |

| I would like to see a Dagorhir website! To my experience that helps show people how organized you are and it interests more people, I spent 3 years of schooling for website design and have a pretty good understanding of it. I also know a bit about SEO (search engine optimization) which Grek mentioned. So if you guys are still working on it and still need some help let me know! | |
