I'm still playing with it and what not. Any suggestions people? I know I need to organize a little better (waiting on Knubbs to forward that sidebar layout again). It was a bitch to try and make goldenrod the background color so I put wallpaper up. I'm not saying I'm done, just that I'm working on it.

I did have an idea that I ran by Konrad and never did hear from Surt on, I don't think. But I was wanting to add member pages to it and a roster for the Royal Army itself and even Unit pages. It'd basically be...

And it'd be the same for if you're in a Unit and put rank, blah blah. If you don't have a persona you could put a comment on there or whatever.

I'd like to get that done over the next month or so and get a garbed avatar shot for everyone.

p.s. It won't be that plain. I can put your name in fancy text, add crests to the page for those in the Royal Army or personal crest for mercenaries and Units.

Makes the front page look more neat, and try to get an introduction box at the top above the forums that says who we are, and what we do. Like:

"Welcome to The Western Tower! Barad'Dun realm of Dagorhir located in and around Los Vegas!" or something like that. "For mor information check out our home page! -linkeh to homepage-"

First part is done on the website, Phox. (While you dictated it. lol)

Let me log out and into Surt's account and I'll edit the top of the page. The sub forums on the other hand cannot be put into the main forums that they're attached to. But I intend to delete the ones that aren't needed or being used, period. For now though I like them as is until Surt or someone really complains, you perfionist. =P

I like the introduction Barad'Dun part ont he front page, but it sticks out like a sore thumb o.0 maybe make the background a grey color? With a stone like border similar to the background of the "post a reply" text field?

How does that look? All of the subcategories are still there. But you have to click on the main forum to get into them.

Complaints can be made and I will try it a different way and the lot of you can continue to give your opinion.

I like the look of the main board....a lot neater.
As for the bio section, you should get with Konrad. It has been discussed to do an on-line form of the Littany. Which is exactly what you described, only adding the mercanaries.

I would like to see some iconic figures associated with Barad'Dun, such as, the banner, the star, the tower, (keep in mind, the tower is a stylized stratosphere, it was meant that way.) something that would be recognizable on the field. I know their still being worked on, just getting the jump on it.

Would it be possible to give each person thier own page in the Littany (member roster)?
If so, you could get different backgrounds that would be appropriate to each person. Possibly even link up a way that each person could do like an ongoing blog or something? (No, I'm not very computer literate. lol.)

I would like to see a color map of the Realm. As soon as I get settled and can start working on those live pics of each area, I will send them to you.

Which banner, dear? The one that Surt made? He told me at practice last Saturday that he hated that one. It's why I and Casey have been making several others for him to look at.

Unless you meant the banner with the tower? Then I'd love to get a copy of it. I want to put that on the front page. ^_^

That's what I was speaking of in one of the above posts. I called them member pages, but am glad you reminded me of the correct word (Litany). Yes. That is very much possible and I intend to get that done. In retrospect I could infact set them each person up a page that only they could log into and alter/add/take away from and do with to their liking WITHOUT allowing them access to change any of the other pages. I could also set the Litany page up to where Council had access to add/remove people from it if they wanted to. Do you want that? Or would you like your compopulater (me) to do that as dictated to? I don't mind either way. I'm just tossing out ideas. Also, yes, the blog part is doable. Just give me tonight to figure that'un out right quick. Have some work today but I'll do a test page for it and also start a thread for members to start posting their names, etc for me to add to the Litany page or bring a notebook to practice for those that don't use the computer that much. On that note...I'll bring a tablet tomorrow and talk to Surt.

I like the idea of each person being able to change and add stuff, but I would say that the council should also have access. To make sure that nothing inappropriate gets put up.

Yes, the actual banner. However, if one were to make a battle flag then take a picture of it, that would probably look better...more real, you know.

Is there not a color map floating around? I will check my comp and see if I still have a copy and send it out to you.

Yes if we could get a copy of our battle flag and make the site more around that than a lord of the rings, and magical pixie fairy's on the front page it might make people take it more serious D= LOTR is cool but for someone who is looking to join Dagorhir as a normal person who wants a weekly hobby it might be intimidating.

Also I could take some of Knubb's designs he thunked up and touch them up a bit so they look pretty and finished for the front page? If I had his permission of course? -gimp and photoshop whore-

I still need to add the rest of the symbols and banners, etc. But there's a start. Also, K'urn - The flag you emailed me would not open. But I did receive the maps.

i think that's the wrong map alacian. the one we chose i believe is the reverse of that one.
