Visiting Vegas

Looks like I may be coming to Vegas in February and would be remiss if I didn't try to meet up with folks while there. I'm coming the weekend of February 13-14 for a Rugby tournament (my gf Wren is a big fan), so not really free during the day. But if folks are around and want to meet Saturday evening, that'd be cool.

Maybe we can have an extended practice or something into the evening, or throw a feast or something. I'll discuss it with Surt. Would you want to fight? We have loaner gear as I imagine you wouldn't be bringing your own.

We play Blood of Heroes using a Goblin head, so we call it Goblin head. It's sort of like rugby, maybe your GF would dig watching you play that.

Rugby is cool. I used to work in a casino count room and I remember all of us watching the Rugby world cup from South Africa late at night in the break room.

I see you post on both the Dag forums and Bel forums. I imagine you play both. It will be nice to meet with you should we have the opportunity.

I'm coming in earlier than expected due to flight costs - I'll be there Thursday night, and would be more available Friday - Friday evening.

Saturday I don't know about. The silly folks haven't posted the tourney schedule (rugby sevens tourney at UNLV) and won't till February! It's likely to be matches all day Saturday and into the evening (at least early evening). A better question might be what is your normal practice schedule and I'll see if I can adapt to it?

I don't fight much these days, so may not want to fight at all when visiting. It's a long story, but I have a weak ankle. But mostly I don't want to haul all my gear to play this trip (want to travel light, avoid checked baggage charges, etc.).

But if folks want, I can bring some BestDagStuff kits (arrowhead and short swords w/stabbing tips) and maybe more stuff for sale.

And Hi Alacian - yes, I know a number of those kooky Narnians. When I was laid up a couple of years ago they gave me a statue of Aslan to help me recuperate. And they're friends with my unit, the Guard. I've also known your old realm leader Kurn for a long while too.

I'm looking forwards to meeting you guys either there in Vegas, at an Aggelgorod event in LA (going this weekend 1/9-10 for that and the Battle for the Ring) , at a campout this coming year, etc. I'm running a chapter up in the San Francisco Bay area, so we'll all definitely be seeing one another at some point.

They don't call him Kyrax Nine Toes for nothing. Hail Kyrax, I'm sure the good peoples of Barad'Dun will do you proud during your stay.

Yup, I know Janwin. I helped him get started in Dagorhir in the early days of the Anvard chapter.
