Hey, my name is Joey Svoboda but my dag name is Sunshine. I've been playing on and off for two years here in the realm of Dragonspire in Indiana. I'm moving to Henderson soon and am looking to join a realm. I've been wondering when and where you guys practice, what rules you have on garb, if there are any particular rules you follow other realms don't or if there is anything else I might need to know. Thanks a lot.

Practices are almost always Saturdays at noon at a park called Desert Breeze. When you get to town you will probably need to mapquest it. Or someone could carpool you if anyone is in your area.

If you have any garb wear it. Not everyone is garbed yet but everyone is making an effort to get there. A lot of us are Relatively new except for the leaders so garb is still in the works.

Yeah we are pretty lax on garb and we are planning a themed garb and ranking system soon. Welcome to Barad'Dun!

Yes I am on myspace, my url is myspace.com/cystrife88. I'll be moving in probably one week from today. My character has changed so many times that I only have one full set of garb which I bought at the Olympics this year. Other then that theres not much else. I like long walks on the beach while I slay all those who oppose me, ya know the norm. My brother Andy lives in Henderson, some of you might know him as d.j. Andy Johnson, so he might be able to help me locate the place. I was one of the earliest members of our realm Dragonspire but was forced out do to age and parental consent but I rejoined when I turned 18. I'm a little rusty because for a good amount of time I felt unfit to enter the battle field so I went on a self imposed exile but returned and have been trying to get back into the swing of things.

I do have an enclosed head injury which I suffered when I was 14 and there are little to no residual side effects. YES I still can get smashed in the head and its no problem, I can guarantee my brain has taken worse. I do have a bloodline of mental illness but its not posing any problems.

Honestly, there's not much to me. I'm about as laid back as it comes, I can take an insult and roll with it (thats why I have kept the name Sunshine), I can take a joke and laugh with it and I'm rather easy to get along with. I like to laugh, joke, sing and act. I've been acting for about 4 years now but refuse the title of thespian because it sounds down right silly. I sing almost constantly when I'm alone but not in public, I'll save you the torment. I'm a die hard Bears fan but not a loud mouthed one, I can still talk football in a civil manner. If you have any questions about anything I left out then just ask me and I'll be glad to answer!

Sounds like your going to fit right in here. Let us know if you need help moving in or getting to know the place. Vegas can be a little daunting if you don't know what to expect.

Hey i have a couple friends that call me sunshine because of Remember the Titans. Lol but you can keep it, i dont need it.

Yea that's where I picked it up from too. Moving shouldn't be too hard I'm just tryin to figure out how I'm supposed to get my dag weapons and building material down there. I'm not sure but taking them on a plane seems out of the picture and shipping them will be a hassle.

you could ship them snail mail...and u can have them ship it the cheapest way...it may take 3 weeks for ur stuff to get here...but atleast it will get here...

Yes....us. As far as I know we are the only group in town. How many of you are there? How old are you? We might be able to help with any transportation issues.

Everybody give a warm dagorhir welcome to Mike Quinn aka Marek. He's here for the summer but may end up staying longer. He's from, of all places, Terra haute Indiana and the Realm of Dragonspire. He used the contact information here on our board to call me and talk about coming out to practice. He doesn't know anyone here and was happy to see a dag group in las vegas. He can't wait to fight with us and I told him the latest pastime here is beating up on Oddvar.

I think if we get another member from Dragonspire we might have to make them our brother realm.

Hey everyone, Extremely new guy here

Recently discovered LARPing from the movie Role Model w/ a couple of friends of mine and found out through a good buddy of mine that we have a group here in Vegas. They recently joined, one is a really skinny kid with Long hair (I think he uses a pole-arm) and a girl that uses a bastart sword One handed (Crazy right?)

Anyway, me and my friend are really new to Dagohir, larping in general. We don't have any costumes or weapons but we will take the time to make both. She wants to use arrows and i'm still a but undecided at the moment. I know most of you guys have been in Dag for a long time so I was wondering what tips and etc. you could offer us?

We're going to go to practice this week, i know she'll make it to the sat one but sadly I work saturdays so if you guys have a sunday one i can make it to that

Hey templar, glad to hear you have an interest in joining us. First I think it's important for you to realize that Dagorhir is not LARP. It is similar in some of the fighting aspects however we are not so much focused on the role playing aspects. The best description I have heard of what we do is "we partake in a pillow fight with rules." Our main goal is to go out and have fun while beating on our friends.

As for tips and suggestions with weapons, the best way would be for you to come to practice and try everything out and see what you like best. We have a wide variety of weapons for you to use including daggers, short swords, hammers, axes, polearms, and two handers. We have people that fight in every way you could imagine and any of us would be more then happy to show you why they like the way they fight as well as give you some tips on starting out. After deciding what style you like to use with whichever weapons then we have people that will show you how to make those weapons as well if you are so inclined. So in other words, come out, have fun, and take it from there.

We will be practicing this week on saturday at 10 am as usual. We did run a few sunday practices previously due to holidays, scheduling conflicts, or people just wanting a second day to fight but have not done so in the few weeks. I'll mention it at practice this weekend and see if there is any interest in doing a sunday practice this week or next.

hello, names josh, my battle name i go by is taco. I have been fighting in belegarth for 5 years now. and will be moving to Vegas. There is no belegarth realm in vegas and Dagorhir is the close i'm going to get to it, So I would love to come out and fight with you guys. you know after rules and eveything is explained to me. thanks

Hey, Welcome Taco. Good to have you. Since you are already experienced I don't think you'll need much briefing. I don't really know of any significant changes between dag rules and bel rules. Can't wait to meet you.

Huzzah! Welcome Taco. Us Bel guys up here in Saint George would love to get to know you. I am down in Vegas with my dad every now and then so I'll see you more than the other guys up here. But it's nice to have you playing.
