James Stoneheart, aka Templar

Growing up as a pastors son is probably one of the most....interesting ways to grow up. As a child, James (named after the Saint) literally grew up in a pew, always staring at awe as his father gave his church the moral lessons, reaccounting the travels of other saints, and of course to bless each day with vigor and love.

James didn't know he was adopted until he was about 8 years old. At this time, the half-dwarf had grown a few inches taller then Peter. Being taller then your father as a dwarf was a very rare thing, you see. Peter had told James that his real father was a blessed warrior, a Templar, warrior of the Cloth. His name was also James.

The Templar had traveled to the city of Barad'dun many times when Peter was young. The two had developed a strong friendship over the years as Sr. James helped the cause for their faith. However, one day, eight years ago, the Templar came into town, bloodied, pierced with a few arrows in his chest. He collapsed through the church doors, his body tumbling unto the floor. As Peter got to his friend, James looked him in the eye.

''.....Take care of him....my son....'' with a soft breath, he died unto the floor.

Ever since that day, Stoneheart swore to raise him in a life of faith and strength. As he watched the boy grew, he realized that faith, not blood, made family.

As James begins his steps on joining the Royal army of Barad'dun, he can only think of this; how to make his father's proud of him, and how to honor his faith through Strength.
