Attention!!

Dear fellow citizens of Barad 'Dun, I, the Great Taco and leader of the Black Lions would like to announce the initiation of three new prospective members, Demie, Nightmare and Heretic. The proceedings of there test are to be performed and this Althing, January 30, 2011. Here are their requirements:

Black Lions – Rank 1 (1 – 3 Months)
Have signed a waver
Know basic rules (you will recite them as if we were new to the sport)
•Weapon Classification
•Hit Locations, what is a kill and what is not
•How old they need to be to join

Must have proper fighting Garb.
•When you join you have an option of making your own or buying a Black Lion Tabard they are 35$
•Must be wearing your garb

Must have own weapon.
•Must pass weapons inspection

Barrel In.

Rewarded
• Tabard
• Sash

We wish them the best of luck and greatly anticipate the outcome.

I like your unit requirements. Is there anyone who DOESN'T qualify? You guys are being VERY discerning. Making them be old enough to fight AND making them know the rules for the game they are playing? Whoa. And they have to be wearing garb(following the rules)? holy shit, you guys are HARD CORE.

Oh yeah we are straight up VIP up in here Fork. Those are just the requirements to try out, essentially saying we are open to new fighters who show some initiative to improve and have respect of the game. Although I'm not too sure about this cross-unit business... we'll see.


Can't wait to barrel in some new initiates. Hope they bring their "A" game. (:<

In the WUH we allow people to be in other units, but we demand that they fight for us in any unit battle or in any other battle for offical competition.
People can play around with their other friends, but when it counts, it the WUH or the highway.
We feel that if people really NEED to fight for another team, they should probly just be on IT full time.
Belonging to other units for entirly scocial or even roleplay reasons is cool, though. I wouldn't do it, but I can see how some folks want to.
And I'm just teasing about your requiremnets. You did write down some very obvious stuff.

Alright alright nuff goofing off guys. This is bout heretic, demi and nightmare and our excitement towards their interest in joining the Black Lions. The requirements have been posted in order to inform them. It might be basic knowledge but starting from the ground up is never a bad thing and the rank system is still being ironed out. Any advice towards improving this unit or this realm is highly appreciated. Id love to see other units rank systems to get some inspiration toward this one.

Personally, I love the way the requirements are so clearly spelled out. This way if any initiates have questions about anything, they can ask and get answers in advance instead of learning it at the last minute in front of everyone. It helps with self esteem and a feeling of self knowledge, knowing that they're not going to potentially embarrass anyone when it counts.

The only thing that I find humorous about the opening post is the fact that it's on Akeria's profile, but begins by saying that it is said by Taco.

They are interchangealbe parts.

I am a so above "qualifying" for anything, your statement struck me as funny.
You kids are silly. The list of our unit requirments is very, very long. Our rank strucure complicated and itricate.
If you want to know about it, pm me. It will derail this whole thing to post it here.
I have no issue with any of these requirments. I just laugh whenever anyone shouts out the incedibly obvious. Too much Montey Python I guess.

They were also working on a Realm Codex. Maybe that's what he's talking about.

yeah we will post it up on the black lion forums ASAP you will get a notification soon shadow... make sure to do that tonight. and the rake system will be on there all of it. we're still going through the process of making it better. so its still pretty basic!! what you need on this one is basically already put up. just read the first post that's what you need
