| We are still going to make it over, but this Saturday doesn't look too likely. The 21st may be a possibility, but we're still figuring it out. I'm sorry I won't get to meet K'urn, but real life occasionally intrudes on all the fun. I have been talking to my guys and they are looking forward to coming over to cross swords. I'll keep you posted as we get something more concrete, but we'd talked about this weekend and I didn't want to leave you hanging. | |

| Thx for the update Isk. Look forward to your visit when you can make it. Perhaps there will be more traveling in the fall and winter. Heard you guys get snow?

| Nah. We're just a couple degrees cooler than you guys. They get snow all around us, but we're low enough we don't get it. Actually, we had several people down from Cedar last night, where they were getting torrential rain, flooding streets and we just saw a few clouds cruise by Last winter we did get snow, for almost 48 hours, but so did you. | |

| Definitely the 29th, looking like about 8 of us. Some will be very new so garb may be complete crap. You are warned . And we have a forum of our own up, so if any of you ever want to stop by we are at http://sites.google.com/site/Forum | |

| Don't worry about garb Isk, ours has been crap too. We have had alot of kids playing that just want to fight and don't seem to be interested in the Historical or middle earth element of our game. I keep planning to try and make or buy some loaner garb in sufficient quantities that we can make it an issue, but for now we just need people to play. We have people coming back from their summer forays so hopefully we will outnumber you 3 or 4 to one. Konradr | |

| Outnumbered sounds awesome! We really don't enforce garb at practices at all, but they need it for events so I am trying to make sure they get something together for this visit. We are doing weapons and garb Mon, Tue and Thu next week. Also on that note, bel has slightly different rules for weapons construction (I created a table with all the differences here). We have a few blues <24" that would be too light and a few swords that do not meet the 1.25"x3" requirement (like 1.1" x 2.6") so I will try to make sure we have dag legal alternatives. We are really looking forward to this! | |

| Here's a suggestion from Isk. There's an Belegarth event in Ogden at their Rennfaire grounds. They have a 'fort' which consists of two plywood gates with archer tower's. Here's what he posted: You guys might consider trying to make it to Samhain up in Ogden as well. It should be a great event and the field is sweet. They have a plywood castle with a main gate and rear entrance and archer's nests. It is a solid bel event, with some pretty decent fighters and will be a good skill development opportunity.Let me see if I can post the pics he sent to: Looks cool, sounds like fun. Here's the thread on their (belegarth) web forum: http://board.belegarth.com/viewtopic.php?f=83&t=32494&sid=946a699b741e2fb7658a0110bf972fa4Konradr | |

| I think it would be awesome if you guys built a gate to play with and use for battles! Let me clarify, though, that this is a permanent structure. The interior courtyard is around 30 feet square and the walls go all the way around the structure. Both gates have archers' nests and a storage room. I let Forkbeard, the realm leader in Aquilonia where this is held, know you guys may be coming up and he said the turnout is looking really good and to tell you not to miss it, it will be a whole lot of fun.
We are looking forward to the 29th!

| Well, we won't have a gate for awhile isk, but we will have simulated everything else. hahaha. You provide the Goblins and we'll provide the bridge over the lava moat (or as Mordock calls it, the Orcchasm) and of course the defenders.
You can reach Desert Breeze park by getting all the way down I 15 and either getting off at Sahara or Flamingo or keep coming and get off on the I 215 going West.
From Sahara just keep going West til you reach "Durango" then turn Left (South). You'll see the park on your Left after passing "Desert Inn" Two more lights later is "Twain" and the end of the park. Turn Left here on twain and park in the first parking lot on your left. Park towards the "Durango" (West) end of the park.
From Flamingo keep going West til you reach "Durango" then turn Right (north) You will come to "Twain" and see the park on Your Right. Turn right and follow above directions to parking lot.
From the 215 keep coming West and look for the Durango exit. Exit there and keep coming East along Durango. You'll pass Flamingo and then come to "twain".
We play a little off from the parking lot, since we've started headquartering at the Gazebo's. You should see us. We don't have a Dagorhir or Barad'dun banner yet. But I will bring my pole and personal banner (A silver wolf on a red horizontal, tailed flag) and place it where it will be visible.
Hope to see you there. Looks like it will be hot this weekend. 105 anyhow. So bring water. We'll have some and ice. Let's play safe and have fun!

| We have alot of noobs and some old hands. We've put out the word, hopefully it will be a good turnout. Hmmm, how do you pronounce your realm, phoneticly? I know Gaelic names are never pronounced the way they are spelt. | |

| Actually this one comes out about the way it's spelled, an teer dee-arg. The r is more of guttural german r and the g is a not fully voiced, between a g and a k. Most people just pronounce them as english rg. So, not too tricky. | |

| Are they all men? Good age range. I'm actually new to Dagorhir, myself. This Saturday will be my first practice....so I'll probably get clobbered. Doesn't mean I don't have spirit. ^_^ | |

| Daggers should be fun. I have a little green-only I normally keep with me, maybe I'll turn out a min-blue for the occasion.
Alacian, everybody coming down will be male this time. We do have a few frequent female fighters, but they won't be making it Saturday. Everybody has a first day and we will be happy to be a part of your first experience!

| Ha ha. No worries. I don't mind men. I was just curious if I'm the only woman participating this time around.
Eh. I grew up with mainly a male influence as it is. I can cope with testosterone city.
I'm glad to have y'all part of my first time, too...Be gentle...*joke*
