Why do I have to be so small...?

OK,

So I get home from work tonight (after doing 42hrs in the last 3 days, so I am REALLY tired and just want to go to bed...) to find my smoke alarm is beeping - telling me it needs the battery changing...

Beeping every 30 seconds...

And Its located at the top of my stairs... And I can only just (whilst standing on my tallest stool on tip-toes...) touch my fingertips to the damned thing!!!


Whoever said size doesn't matter LIED! 2 more inches would make me a really happy woman right now!


Ok - if its gonna be going off all night, I need to get drunk so I pass out and can ignore it...

I've been wishin' I was a little taller all my life. thought I was 5'6" only to find out, now I'm 5'4". I'm shrinking damnit and I know Taco has something to do with it! I think he's beating me down little by little!

Well I cant answer for you (except get measured in the morning, not at night - you can lose up to 2 inches in a day...)

But as for the smoke alarm... I managed to get to it safely and remove the battery... But its hard-wired to the house and is still beeping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn... Now I need to find me a battery for it...

Looks like a late night trip to Vons is swiftly coming at me...

I caved - new battery in and apartment blisfully silent...

Now I can drink wine and make my shield
