Polyplank Run (Shields!)

The gobbo and da troll iz goin for another polyplank run for shields... anyone interested?

I'll probably be going to Freighters and Craters on the 20th for a foam sheet for new loaners and personal shields. If you are interested in getting a shield blank or having a shield made by Taco or myself, please let us know by the 20th so we can get enough for you.

These will be slightly denser than the white foam shields you see on the field.

(If you have money Saturday, Isk will be down this weekend with round shield blanks you can buy.)



What's a shield blank?

Shield Blank - noun - Blank foam piece for a shield lacking straps or handles. Adding a handle, straps, or back strap is easy! You also save money buying a shield blank versus buying a finished shield. (Most shield blanks are $15 to $20 depending on size, while a finished shield can be more.)

Depending on the size, it will be about $30 for the foam, cut by Taco+You to make sure the size and shape are what you want.

Post what dimensions you guys want, such as height, width, diameter if you want a round.

We'll be making the run next weekend I think. Rounds we'll cut ahead of time, but teardrop/kites you'll need to show us the exact shape you want, since some kites have a flat bottom, while others come to a point.

I'll call Freighters and Craters and come up with a price for the foam and PM those interested. We'll probably be buying 2x 4ft by 9ft planks.
