| Hey my name's Casey and I'm going to be making my way to Vegas in HOPEFULLY the next month, currently residing in Twin Falls, Idaho, part of the Shanara (SP? lolwut?) Realm of Belegarth, our season just ended (snow sux), but I'm hoping to resume as soon as I get to Vegas, saw the vid on Youtube, was pretty awesome, and I am totally pumped about meeting some new people in Dag over your way! My Dag/Bel name is Phoxly (Fox-lee), or Natooka (Nah-too-ka?), or just Caz. MSN/Pidgin: phoxly@hotmail.com or pandaface89@hotmail.com

| Welcome to Barad'Dun!
How old are you? How long have you been fighting? Male, female or undecided? Are you ready for a can o' whoop ass? Can you say CHAAAAAAAARGE! Hai!
Ahem. I mean. Ah hell...it's half past midnight. I don't know what I mean after a full day of fighting.
Any questions? WHEN will you be here? Hurry up. Are you moving down or just visiting one weekend?
Share!

| XD oh yeah the important stuff, I'm Male 19, Taking online courses at Colorado Technical University, just moved from Wyoming to Idaho about 3 months ago, and now to Vegas! We are shooting for November for an arrival date, looking for housing in the Henderson area or Summerlin. And yes I have read and understand the Dag rules in comparasin to Belegarth rules, I actually like Dag's rules a little bit better, particularly the shield bashing and shield kicking rules, I saw a 6 foot tall man kite shield bash a 12 year old girl who was wielding a single blue last Bel practice I went too, scary shit. | |

Henderson is cheaper. Summerlin is closer. Moving wise that is. Though some of our guys are in Henderson. So it's not that bad of a commute for weekly practice. I've moved quite a bit like you have and I'm excited to meet you. I hope the move is good for you and yeah...shield bashing a child that small? Err...-eyeshift- ...The Bel guys from Utah weren't that bad when they came down. One of my closest friends is a Belegarth. Well...I did get bashed by our Barrikaide....but that's because he bashed the person in front of me who was thrown back into me....and...Yeah. That was an epic day. Word to the wise! Don't hug Barrikaide.

Word to the wise! Don't hug Barrikaide. I got to the bottom of the shield bashing, apparently Bel rules say that you can't shield bash someone without a shield, and not even shield bashing someone with a buckler, but right now since its off season and close to off season right now we are "un sanctioned" so no rules or anything, the practice wasn't even a real practice :/ I'm totally pumped about meeting you too you'll probably kick my ass, but I promise to give you dibs on doing it first before anyone else lol. -tries to find a belegarth/garb'd pic for an avatar- Also posted my MSN info up top

| Ha ha. Unsanctioned. Well no shield bashing the children. We normally get them off of the field when all the big people get on and they go play amongst themselves.
Also, how long have you been doing Dag/Bel? I'm sure you're quite a bit better than I. Though I've plenty of teachers since I began and viewed a few different fighting styles, along with practicing four times a week now..*fist pump*...So, I'll give it a go and I intend to hold you to that giving me the first round with a spar.
I'll add your msn in the morning. For now it's off to bed with me!
To the chambers wench!

Haha. I will never forget the day I was chucked by Barrikade. No hard feelings, I'll just have to remember to dodge. "WHY DIDN'T YOU DODGE!!?!?" (haha, I will respect you forever if you know where that quote is from Welcome Fox-Lee (Are you related to Jet-Lee? haha jk) it'll be a pleasure to meet you in person, and it's always good to see the realm grow.

| Hey Phoxly,
Were you at War of the Forbidding? Several of us from St. George came up for your event and we may have met you.
On shield bashing, neither bel nor dag rules forbid bashing anyone based on the equipment they're carrying. The differences in the bashing rules are minimal and mostly apply to actual 'bashing' not 'checking', which happens pretty rarely. (Bashing is starting running from more than two steps away and checking is any shield impact started from two steps or less away). Bashing a twelve year-old girl to the ground is dangerous and a douchebag move anyway you look at it, although I have to ask why was a twleve year-old girl on the main fighting field in the first place?
At any rate, you've found a good dag group to continue your foam fighting journey and we'll look forward to seeing you (again?) when we come to visit in the near future.

I had to miss it this past year and the 12 year old girl was the daughter of one of the other players, and usually everyone takes it easy on the little ones, even though they are little gankopotamustic fiends "WHY DIDN"T YOU DODGE!?!?!" Possible responses: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!" ~Gohan or "I'm not paid to dodge." or it could be from Dodge Ball (:< And you'd totally pwn me Alacian since I just got back into Idaho about 3 months ago, prior to those three months I had not played in Belegarth for 2 years but I'm ambitious and persistent. Also, enjoy my avatar I'll get a better one this Thursday at our "unsanctioned" Bel practice.

That's a good thing, I think. =P Also pwning you would depend on whether you're 6'5 like Rilith or 5'2 like Mordock. Ha ha. I'm only 5'6. I'm dwarfed by many but have no problem sparring either. The larger they are, the harder they fall! We look forward to having you. I'm always excited to see new people and love a good spar.

| Yay! I'm glad you're joining us, Phoxly. I think we're going to need some more weapons.
And on the 12 year old girl... Twelve isn't that small. Whisper is only 13 and the size of a twelve year old. And I think she's taken a hit from Barrikaide's shield before without any problems.
In any case, we're excited to meet you! =] Hurry up and get down here.
