hmmn? questions.....

So i noticed that there were no spears? im killer on a spear or glaive, but do you guys have any other people on spear? pole arms dont work well by themselves, you need pairs. id love to know what you guys are short on, because im great on sword and board too. 3' round shield with a little whippy short sword.

im really curious in how you guys run your practices too. but anyways, ill be there tomorrow. i hope you guys can lend me something until i get me own stuff. i need money....and i need a job. im new to this area, this is a weird place to ask but do you guys know of any job opportunities? any at all?

We have both spears and pole-arms, I think we have a 10ft and a 6ft. Other than that I'm not really sure. I have a 7.5ft Glaive but I will probably have to remake it.

Mkay:D well if we need to, i can get ahold of where we ordered our 8' band pole, so you can remake your glaive. Do you guys have any band pole? it kicks the hell out of using PVC, which is a pain to work with. either way, i hope you have enough lenders, cause i want to fight tomorrow.

The main issue with this realm is everyone is short of money. We have a donation box, I can bring it, but it only has a measly $2.00 in it that I put in there. Everyone in the realm is having job problems at the moment so we are behind in our weapon's building and we have had to use the cheaper substitutes, ie; PVC and Walmart Foam. There is quality foam to be had at Galaxy foam, and a couple of our guys have been talking about going in for bandshoppe poles and making the realm a bunch of spears. So when you get a job, and you want to contribute, jump right in.

I've been making shields and weapons since I joined in April. There not the greatest, but they'll do in a pinch and I let people borrow freely. My wife thinks I'm crazy spending my measly allowance every payday on dagorhir stuff, and that includes water and ice at practice, plus gas to get there and back and pick up my son's cousin's so they can play too. I like to think its all worth it when we beat eachother senseless, well as senseless as you can with Foam weapons.

Jobs used to be sooooo easy to get here in Las Vegas. But times have gotten harder and the jobs have seemed to evaporated. Keep looking and something will happen. Try the casinos, all of them. Small to large. Even if you're under 21 they used to have all the available jobs. Oh, yeah, there's always crazy ass walmart.

I actually decided to hold off my Glaive package I was going to order from bestdagstuff.com and probably just order a ton of foam and some cores to take to our weapon build day. As long as i get to make my two mini glaive's (basically a longer blue sword with a stabby tip) then I'll happily donate all the remaining foam to the group.

I figure for the same amount of foam its gonna take (and cost) of the Glaive, I can make about 5 swords.

all we used was the blue camping foam, its cheap and it works, theres really no need to order or get special foam. and double sided ducktape, lots of it, will get you a long ways.

That's one thing I'm itching to try. The "Dapless" sword, using only double sided duct tape. I saw a nice tutorial on the Dagorhir forum showing the steps. Looks good.

The quality foam from Galaxy isn't too expensive and will last longer and feels better than walmart blue. If we can get it, we will and cut in 1.25" strips for swords.

Make your glaive phoxly, we can always use a good pole arm and the man to use it.

I'll help as well, Konrad. You already know I'm working on the job situation. Also, bring your darn donation box. I'll try to rake up a couple bucks every week to bring for it till I get a real job. I told you to bring it several weeks back.

Will bring it next Saturday if I can swing some of those small, toke envelopes like they use in the casino's for cash tips, etc.

When I get to vegas it shouldn't take too long before I find a decent job, pretty much any computer technology, java programming, or tech support job I'm qualified for.
