| Some of you asked me exactly what I was talking about at practice when I said I was getting armor done by Taco. Well here it is.. He will be doing two layers of soft leather, and I think he said he is going to make it where it laces up the back. Minus the chainmail unless I find someone who knows how and I get the money for it. I'm going with leather for now and the carvings. I was going to post it on the ATD forums to show it to that one guy they brought out. He'd asked me about it...but for the life of me I don't know his name and I don't want to just go posting willy nilly over there. | |

| Thats alot of dangling chain.... The sculpt of the armor is very elven. Nice clean lines... I would very much like to see this made. Have you looked at elven chain? It would be made of Titanium. | |

| Well I'm an elf. lol I also am not doing the dangling chain....Though that titanium idea would make me invincible....I wonder if it would keep me from being crippled if Barrikaide fell on me.
Ha ha. Well I'm still talking to Taco. But hopefully I can get it done soon.

| if its soft leather dagorhir requires metal studs every half inch to count as armor. or metal rings would work too. | |

Doesn't two layers make it thick enough to count?

I kind of like: but the site said it runs for like $260. Maybe that, with shoulders like the one up top. http://www.medievalcollectibles.com/c-115-leather-harnesses.aspx Thats the site I found. I'll ask Alacian for ideas, she is good like that.

| Taco, you been to the Tandy leather shop on Sandhill and Flamingo yet? I'm curious if they sell any armor grade scraps so I can make a helmet.

| Two 8oz layers should do it. The requirement for leather armor is 3/16ths of an inch thick. Looks sweet Alacian! | |

Ha ha. Thanks. It's going to cost me an arm and a leg. But it'll be worth it if I save. Fear my wrath...*fist shake*....wait...it should be the other way around...I got my ass handed to me faster than I thought I would. Ah well. More training ahead for this grasshopper.

Doesn't two layers make it thick enough to count? Sadly, yes. One of the major flaws with the armor system in Dagorhir at this time.
