New Member Flyers?

Have we thought of using a flyer or something we can give out to new fighters to help direct them to the boards, and the facebook group? I've noticed we have started to get quite a few new faces out on the field, but not many are returning after 2-3 weeks. Maybe if we can get them on the boards or on facebook we can start getting them more involved to keep coming out?

Now that it is warming up I'm guessing the Royal Army practices will pick up again? Getting new fighters to practice earlier to learn stuff from the Narbu and other skilled RA fighters helps too...

Demie maybe draft something up?

maybe business cards they might be cheaper cause not as much text. and you can keep it in your wallet/

You can use that flyer if you want to. I just personally think its missing some appeal. However, I was suggesting to someone, in some topic, somewhere on this forum, that we should make business cards because they are cheap and you can make lots of them, with a pic and contact info, that we can hand out in the hundreds to anyone who seems interested.

Lots of us have good Ideas on what should be done, but nothing gets done unless you just do it yourself in the name of the realm and for the realm. That's just the way it seems. Making suggestions is great, but doing it gets it done.

Card-stock is cheap, and you can get a layout from most card-stock websites like Avery to print from microsoft word with a simple mail merge. Just need a design or a flyer design.

making business cards and i'm making a couple flyers as well i thought about making those ones that you find for like free piano lessons that have like the phone number nicks you can tear off. but instead putting the location on it... so people see the flyer they rip off the location and come see.. i'll post what they look like when i'm done! i'mma start putting them in all the stores in my area... and when i come to the location we should ask if we can put a flyer up on taco bells wall cause honestly we are their biggest business on saterdays... they might do us a favor and same with jack... and other stores might like it... and then when like extreme thing comes out. i'm gonna send them an email asking if we can leave some flyers with them to take.. anime con in may i'm doing the same thing... i'm just gonna go all out you guys want members i'mma do my best to get them!!

Here's a business card Idea I made up. I printed a page on regular paper to check out the template, but my color ink is running low. I will bring the page to practice for comments.

Welcome to the boards we are Dagorhir, a somewhat LARP group that doesn't really "role play" but focuses more on the live action concept of fighting with foam safe combat weapons. We practice at Desert Breeze park in Las Vegas on the corner of Twain and Durango every saturday at noon.

If you are going south on Durango you will turn left on Twain and it will be the first parking lot and gazebos on the left side.

Should say something like " Barad'Dun, the Las Vegas chapter of Dagorhir Battle Games."

And the name of the Park above the address "Desert Breeze Park" Plus the time we meet. Noon on Saturdays.

I think you should put the facebook page on it too. Lots of people use facebook.

I don't see why putting the las vegas chapter in there would be needed. i mean i thought we were the only chapter here in vegas. are we not the only barad' Dun in dag?... just a question it's just a super long name we want the name to be big so it stands out. I should have put Desert Breeze Park in and time good think i haven't printed them yet so i can fix them real quick. and yeah add the Facebook page. thanks for the critiques!

I don't know about the address, it's kind of intimidating, maybe just say "Desert Breeze Park off Twain and Durango" so people have a more general idea?

The cards are more for giving out to new members right?

I am going to print some of those flyers I stole off the bel site, and adjust to our schema so I can place them at a few areas around desert breeze like the gas stations? We can talk about the style or layout of our flyers and cards but the sooner we start circulating something we are making progress.

i'm fixing the old business card that i made so it looks tip top shape before printing!!!
