Weapons Build Day January 15th?

I spoke with our Marshall about getting a weapons build day together before the end of January and we start to kick off our season again. Smithy said the 15th would work for him. As the Marshall it'd be great to have him there. Same with Taco, and Konradr as veteran weapon builders.

The question is, where?

Taco and someone else are putting together a couple material orders and it would ROCK to get us some new weapons to show off at WOR. I'm also trying to track down polyplank for arrow bases.


Note the weapon build day would be after practice, around 4-5pm?

Yeah that might be an option. I'm cool with using the garage. It's decent sized and if we got a good table in the middle that might work. However it's only a single car.. If no better place arises (Knubbs or Taco's?) then we can use ours.

There will also be voting on this day, perhaps the voting can carry over to that night since Smithy won't be at practice (I think...).

This would be a good time to get some good energy going in the group, get some stuff done, and prepare for the upcoming year.

He should be there if he's going to be at the Weapons Build. His drill weekend is the 7th - 8th. The weekend after New Years. Not the 14th - 15th.

yeah that's what i thought.. he should be there.

I misread his PM lol he said 5pm would be good, and that he couldn't make it til then (as in the 15th).

Sounds like the weapons build will be in our garage, might not be as big as our other builds, but still plan to work on my spear and maybe some arrows. I will see if I can come up with a table. I am hitting up galaxy foam tomorrow and the polyplank foam place friday.

So where is this polyplank place you keep speaking of? I've heard mention but no one has put up any info on it. Keeping it a secret are we? Speaking of which, I have to get my butt up to An Tir Dearg (St. George) to pick up the three shield blanks Isk bought for me, Strider and Templar (pst, Templar, still owe me)

Did you get bandshoppe pole for your spear?

Thats what I thought too! Everyone keeping it a secret >.< Taco finally told me the name of it but I forgot last night lol. I'll PM him and get a name and address. I am using my 8 foot bandshoppe pole spear I bought from caretaker and stripping it to make a min spear instead. I'd like to try them out. I need to find out what kind of foam I need though for the head.

My next spear will be a min spear as well. I sold my 8 foot to my man pheasant, though I've yet to see some cash (Pheasant) I'm planning on picking up a 7 foot pole at that band place if I can. Don't forget the 10" carriage bolt in the pommel to take off some of the weight of the tip.

ok so i'm suppose to let everyone know that we are moving weapon building day from phoxly's house to heretics house it will be more room and they have a back yard and shit. i will ask for the address tomorrow and post it up!!!
