Oil for leather...

If you have a large chunk of leather armor that sat in a hot dusty shed for awhile and you wanted to clean and soften it up some, and you had no money to buy anything expensive. What kind of oil could you use for such a task? Baby oil? Gun oil? Armorall?

What about Neatsfoot oil?

My dad used to oil up our baseball gloves and bake them low low low in the oven with a softball stuffed in the pocket and the whole thing bungee corded up tight around it to get the pocket deep and pliable to keep the ball from popping out when we'd play each year.
