| For the red hammer I would have used black pipe insulation foam, because it's round and would give you a better handle if you ever needed to choke up on the grip. You can get it at most hardware stores. But, other than that it looks fine. | |

| I was just going to use the old swirl technique, where you get some tape, roll it up and wrap it around the handle then cover that w/ tape so you have more grip on it. It works for the little hammer and Sir Martin's ''Spear''.
It hits amazing. I hit Demie with it and it didn't sting one bit. I thought i was being over-cautious when I put 4 layers of open cell on each side, but it worked out.
''It doesn't hurt, ya know? it just.....shakes your soul when you get hit'' - Demie
Same with the stab tip. I have to cover that up well because it moves around a bit, but besides that it works out too.
Edit: Apparently I said that xD Look below for her actual opinion

| I didn't say that.
You said that.
I just agreed.

Yeah. It doesn't hurt. It's just a huge impact. Could knock a person over.
But no pain.
Like someone running at you with a stack of pillows. | |

| No, Templar, what I meant was on your red hammer you have the grip and then up from that is the blue foam around the handle which has a rectangular shape. I would use the pipe insulation where the rectangular foam is so your hand can wrap around it easier. | |

| Hey templar, Your big hammer failed because of flex, right? My Axe too. I'm going to cut the pommel off and use a piece of 1/2" pvc and wrap it with a think cut strip of closed cell foam and force it into my 3/4" pvc axe haft. That should take care of the flex, at least til the foam breaks down. You might try that too. You used 1" PVC, so maybe 3/4" or even 1/2" with a thicker foam strip spiralled around it and inserted into the haft might stiffen it up. Smithy told you to cut some of the head down too, right? Try both and see how that works.
