| Just in case any of you are interested and want to make the drive. This is a formal invite. This event happens the last Saturday of every month.
We're trying to make our monthly battle at Noble Creek Park a permanent event. Please help us keep our attendance up! Noble Creek Park is located northeast of the 10 freeway on Oak Valley Pkwy. We're looking to raise attendance and awareness for this event. This battle is also initiate and family friendly, so bring your new fighters and their mothers!!!
Directions from LA: Take the I-10 eastbound towards Palm Springs. Exit Oak Valley Pkwy and turn left Park is on your left one block ahead
Directions from Palm Springs: Take the I-10 Westbound towards San Bernardino. Exit Oak Valley Pkwy and turn right Park is on your left one block ahead
We'll be the people in garb, swinging boffer weapons at each other, near the top of the hill.

| ummmm... If I'm looking at the map correctly, it's where the "B" point is referencing. The terrain looks a little rougher here than it really is. If the attendance gets higher, then we'll look for a better spot. But for now, we're trying to make it as easy as possible to find us.
Forgot to add that the fun starts at noon and goes until we get tired.

| When I talked to Konradr about this next Battle, he mentioned that Sam Hain would be the determining factor for a lot of you. I can see that. Also, just to clarify, The meet spot is now to the right of "point A" and the baseball diamonds, on the map that was posted earlier.
Also... I took a version of the Barad Dun Dragon and have been using it at the Battle at Beaumont. If anyone can slay the dragon, I have an event specific, pendant that will be offered as an award. I also have one for a Kraken, based on the same idea as the Dragon.

| The Kraken is based on the sea creature of Norse legend and is purposefully designed to put the "hero" at a great disadvantage. In fact, no effort was made, in the creation of this scenario, to make it fair for the hero. Though victory is still possible.
The kraken is made up of 9 fighters. (8 tentacles and the center body.) The tentacles are unarmored and are armed with one blue weapon and can be killed. Killing a tentacle removes them from the scenario. The center body is fully armored and armed with a blue weapon and may carry a shield. Normal combat rules apply to all fighters.
The playing field is created by setting down a rope to represent a shore line. One side is land, the other side is water. The center body of the kraken cannot pass the shore line onto land, and tentacles can be on land as long one foot stays on the line.
Now here's where it gets a little tricky...
The hero can pass the shoreline, but If he is armored in any way or is carrying a shield, he must kneel as if he has lost a leg. This however does not mean that a leg has been lost. If any other weapon than a spear or dagger is carried, the hero must walk and cannot run unless they are on land.
Tentacles can circle the body freely, but cannot pass around each other (think of any movement that would cause knots in real life). Also, of course tentacles can grapple. If a tentacle gets a hold of any of the hero's weapons, it may be used as a red, by the tentacle, no matter what the weapon is.
The goal is to kill the main body. Even if there are tentacles still standing, if the main body is detroyed the hero has slain the kraken and is awarded a slayer pendant.
I hope this makes sense. We've only really had a chance to try it out a couple of times. And each time, it's been pretty fun.
