I wanted to point out a safety hazard, and thank those who have been kind enough to throw arrows back to archers at the end of a fight, but I also see a large safety hazard in the way several people throw arrows.
Arrows should be thrown underhandedly, and arched so the tip of the arrow hits first, or overhandedly in the same fashion but not thrown like a tomahawk or a throwing knife with any amount of end over end spinning. I realized after practice yesterday I had a cut in my thigh because of such throwing style which I didn't realize had actually pierced skin through my thick garb pants. Thank god it didn't hit bare skin lol. Its bad for the arrow, and its bad for whoever gets hit with the nock. Arrows are the biggest safety hazard on the field, so whatever we can do to minimize that risk is greatly encouraged.
Thanks!
