my new plan of action

i don't think they will be completely ready next week i'm going to print out A LOT OF different fliers but i was thinking as soon as i am done with them one of the practices we all go posting fliers in stores on phone poles. everything but i wanted to know if anyone else had any ideas maybe if anyone else wants to make fliers they can take some of the load off or something. and then find one of the practice days that we can post them. what are your thoughts?

sounds good Akeria, I actually made some flier pics and a poster a few months before you and Taco joined us. They are posted somewhere on the forum. I just don't remember where at the moment. Mabye we can use some realm funds for the fliers. We will have to discuss it with Surt.

i think that's a great idea what does everyone think, give some feed back guys, I think if we do this it will help the realm grow!

Here's the original flyers I had worked on, plus the poster (Thank you Demie for the location). But now, thanks to Akeria, we have alot more pics so we can redo them choosing the best action photos. I don't have any color ink to print them out at home to test them. But I'm sure its not too expensive for Kinkos to copy on card stock(???)

Craigslist adds are free, u can advertise there under groups. I know you are already on LARP Alliance, but that's a decent resource, you can put your practices and events on the calendar. You can also try a Facebook or MySpace group, recruitment through yahoo groups, google groups ect. You may. remember its a recruitment video. Show some good fighting action, talk about the rules a little, interview people at practice, put a kick ass soundtrack and voila. Phoxly is good with soundtracks and computer effects, if he's still out there, he can collaborate with you. You can pick the mind of Demie who is good with theater stuff and Surt and Smithy who are our resident actors and whos'e smiles should bring hundreds running to our banners! Tell us what you want to shoot like the walls, or the banner, or anything you need on a particular day.

You can make a fan page and keep it up to date with important information.

i was thinking that i would make some poster things you know to put in stores and stuff telephone poles all that jazz but i was thinking for like... the albertsons down by our house there is a school close by and what i was thinking is i would ask the school if we could post a poster or some sort of advertisement and along with it would me like a brochure or pamphlet thing and inside the panflet will be the the website to check out and then a map showing where the practice is. i don't know i thought it was a good idea.
