August Althing is This Sunday, Aug 29th.

Last Sunday before School starts.

We'll have it at the usual spot. Spring Valley park. Viking off Tenaya.

Heretic has announced that the Champion's Tournament will be "Florentine".

When I watched the Ragnarok 22 video, they called the "florentine" tourmament, the "Two weapons tournament". So the criteria was a weapon wielded in each hand. It could be any type of weapon. I'm assuming this florentine is the same, any weapon type as long as one in each hand, or is it specifically "blues" ??? I was thinking of using a Javelin in one hand, and a blue in the other.

I just picked up a new cookbook of simple meals, so lets see what I can make for Althing Potluck fare.

yeah i wonder what i can make this time i wanna try something awesome and new!! and the great thing is that josh gets payed this sat. soooooooooooooooooooooooo dun dun dun dun!!! kitty wants to make you something special or have josh make you something special cause he wants to show off his cooking skills i know what i'm making for September i was gonna make it this time but figured it's more of a fall treat so next time!!

There are two recipes in the book that I'm trying to decide on. One is "Cornbread chicken pot pie" and the other is "Baked chicken & cheese risotto".

Of course I just got paid and then we bought school supplies and school clothes (OMG it took forever and cost an arm and a leg) so I may end up with ground beef and rice stir fried. Thats if any money last until next week.

Found out today that sunday is my niece's 2nd B-day. So not going to be able to make it, sorry guys.

Sorry you won't be there Templar. Money crunch is on me too. Looks like its just fried rice I'll be bringing.

My grandma wants to celebrate my moms birthday so wont be there Sunday.

I will be there, but will probably leave early as I my wife is going to take the kids to the pool for their last day of summer. I will have them with me. So I plan to eat and then get the tournament going.

With my limited budget, I got food, some foam plates and plastic spoons. I'll try and get water tomorrow, but if anyone wants anything real to drink, soda, tea, etc. Bring it along with some cups.

Thanks to all who came out to Althing.

Surt is our Florentine Tournament Realm Champion, (Huzzah!) it was he and K'urn for the final bout. He's is also Barad'Dun's 5th Realm Champion. (Heretic, Romeo, Taco, and Heretic) There were 13 contestants. Good fighting one and all.

Kilanos has bought pin back tokens that will represent each class of tournament. From now on the champion will not only wear the Champion's tournament, but will also have a pin back badge or token that he will wear on the sash. The pin back for florentine is a set of silver cross swords.

In addition to the pin back token, we feel the Champion's should wear an embroidered ribbon or a small belt ribbon, that designates they have one the Champion's tournament. The colors of the tourmament sash, Red, Gold and black, should be the ribbon colors. On the bottom of the ribbon, put the tourmament number that you won. Each time you win, you can add another ribbon, or more number's, however you want to display it.
