| so going to make those will make it more like high tops though. i'll probably make the fronts armor grade and the backs thinner or just lace up the backs | |

| There is reason to have a stiff heel for footwear. The heel can slide or shift from one side to the other unless it has support. Using a thick leather around the heel (even on the inside) will minimize or negate sliding or shifting and allow for better footwork. I had to do this to Surt's calf high boots because of this exact issue. | |
