| My sister, and her obsession with Asian culture, forced me to ask this.
Would it be possible to design some foam form of a spread Martial Arts fan? And if so, would there be restrictions against using something like it?

| the best you can do is look at the rules and try to build it to such specifications. | |

| I tried to look it up in the Dag rules and couldn't find anything.
But it wouldn't fly in Belegarth. Punching weapons are illegal in Bel.
In Dag you would need to find where to put the stabbing tips, mostly because it would be an experimental weapon, it's not swung quite like a normal sword.
Here's most of your requirements:
4.1.8.2.2. Blue weapons must weigh a minimum of 12 ounces. 4.1.8.3.1. Minimum dimensions of 1.25 inch by 3 inches along its entire striking surface. 4.1.8.3.2. Minimum dimensions for single edged bladed weapons are 1.25 by 2.5 inches 4.2.2. Blue swords have a minimum blade length of 12 inches and a maximum blade length of 36 inches. 4.2.7. The minimum length of a blue weapon is 12 inches from above the handgrip to the tip or end of haft. 4.2.3. Blue weapons may have green stabbing tips.
I hope this helps. | |

| Hey guys, you know that blue single hammer with the writing on the hilt surface? Does anyone know the how to on it or something that closely resembles it? I tried to find it online but I can't find any tutorial's on a blue hammer, just a tutorial for a red war hammer :/
I know the person that made that hammer is probably not with us anymore so if anyone can help me that would be a great help

In belegarth a red swung with one hand is considered a blue hit, so if you made your blue hammer small enough or modified it to fit the look and feel of the red or blue you saw, you could probably mimic it?

| OOh Boy!! Weapon tutorials!! Do you have your printer ready??
That hammer, which is named Himdring (literal translation is 'Cool Hammer'), is made using a length of 1/2" pvc sch 80. I then took a funnoodle and dap'ped it to the tip (you should probably use gorilla glue). I used this funnoodle as the base for the rest of the build, so make sure it's attached very well. Next, I took a strip of closed cell foam, about 1 1/2" wide and and wrapped them around the funnoodle on each side. Make sure that the funnoodle is flush with the foam strips. Next, I cut circles out of blue camping foam(don't use this, use the white Velora) and attached them to the face of the hammer, two on each side. Then, I took some 2" open cell foam and attached it to each side. Lastly, attached the courtesy padding, and pommel...and...your done.
Hope this helps. I have found that , for me, it's easier to sketch out the build first. Draw what you want it to look like then draw it again as if you were building it from foam.

| Now I'm curious lol, what does the end result look like in your Cool Hammer K'urn? I am thinkin of a mini-hammer design to florentine with. ^__^ Perhaps with a stabby tip on top, as my range would not be high, but the hammer size would be good enough to block with on some fronts. I have to decide between this, and my miniglaive combo lol. | |

| If someone could post a picture of it, that would be cool. It's essentially what you have there....minus the spikes. K- | |

K- I spent all day at work drawing out the foam and what not on the mini axes, it looks hella fun. Its kind of like my old axes that I used to use the head or the top to block an incoming strike, then push it away to open up a good hit.

| So I get paid friday and hopefully i'm going to have an extra 30-40 bucks after I pay my bills. I was wondering, should I build (with help obviously lol) a 6ft Red warhammer or a 8ft green spear? The only problem with the spear is that I can only get PVC pipe for it atm. I'm gonna ask my dad if he can chip in for a 10ft spear for my x-mas gift, but I sorta want to have a weapon I can bring instead of relying on the loaners >_> | |

| Taco was telling me he is talking to someone at a local store that handles fiberglass. They can order fiberglass and get it within 24 hours or something like that. He's still trying to find out if they can get the cores for us. So we'll have to see if Taco followed up on that and if they can.
