| Pouring over the Dagorhir Manual of Arms and I recall there used to be a rule stating that 1/3 of a red must be striking surface. However, it seems like that rule has been removed. Anyone see anything regarding this? http://www.dagorhir.com/dagorhir/Rules.htm | |

| 4.1.9 - No swung weapon may have more than 1/3 of its overall length unpadded, nor have more than 30" unpadded.
4.1.11.7 - No swung weapon may have more than 1/3 of its overall length unpadded, nor have more than 30 total inches unpadded.
4.2.2 - Blue weapons must have a minimum total length of 12 inches and a maximum total length less than 48 inches. Weapons must have a minimum 6 inch striking surface. | |

| So let's say that hypothetically I have a glaive. 1/4 of it is striking surface, but 2/3 of it is safely padded. Is this a legal weapon? | |

| It is hypothetically 6 feet, or 72 inches. Its hypothetical blade is 18 inches. | |

| If it's a total of 72 inches, then you can't have more then 24" unpadded. So you can have a handle that's about 22'' and be fine as long as the rest is haft padding | |

| That was a whole sheet of fake fur. If you go to Joahns near the leather section they sell little sheets of them. Just get one and wrap it around your hafting 'assuming it's cylindrical' | |

| this is something that we discuss in regards to our held events. Bel allows half-handle swords. Should we go straight Dag and tell our Bel neighbors to keep those at home. or be lenient and allow them if they are save? At KT, Black had a obviously half-handle red sword. | |

| According to the currently posted bel rules, the max cannot be more than half, only if half is 18 inches or less, so max of a 36 inch weapon | |

| i was only told that by a fighter i considered a reliable source when i queried about Black's weapon, oh well. but my point still stands there are minor rules differences between the games and we should be ready to decide a set path. | |
