Since we all know where Desert Breeze is, I'll give directions from there.

Head south on Durango, toward Flamingo.
Turn left on Flamingo.
The park is on the left side at Flamingo and Buffalo.

Ummmmm, that would be 'south' on Durango. Durango runs south to north. South to Flamingo. Okay, now let me go look on the map and as far as I'm concerned, if the vote is for practice, then lets just do it there. We will work on plans for a weapon's build for later in the month.

That's right across from my house. I can walk over there... lol I live in the place across from the KFC right there. We may actually get to come. Now I'm excited...I can stay longer....because I can walk home...literally. lol

So, if practice wins the vote, I guess we should choose a spot to meet at the other park.

Well if that doesn't work we could always try the Summerlin park which is about 3 min drive up Desert Inn and just passed Hualipie (sp). its a big open park w/ plenty of tall trees for shade.

Alright. We're definitely coming to practice. I'm going to be dead on my feet. But we'll be there. Are y'all holding it over here at Spring Valley or in Summerlin? Someone decide and let me know.

I'm thinking of sticking with the Spring valley location, Flamingo and Buffalo, because its close enough to our normal location that those warriors who normally walk to desert breeze, may still make it to practice. Of course when we're there we can always send someone in a car to pick up any nearby members who are stranded. Cell phones, the wonder tool of middle earth. Of course, mine is broken.

The final word is, and should always be, our fearless leader's.

Thanks, Konrad. That means we can walk over there. We'll be early. So, what part do y'all want to hold it in? What side? You know what...I'll just sit on the curb of the parking lot till people start showing up. It's close enough that I can do that and wave any strays on in. Depending on what side y'all want to play in will determine whether the lot of you park on the usual side or park in the high school lot.

Since I'm not familiar with it all, where would you suggest we park? Which is the shortest route for those of us lugging tons of foamy things to and fro? Is there shade or seats or do we bring extra pads for our old Arses (hmmm, that would apply to just me I think)

I think y'all oughta park in the high school lot. It's normally empty unless some kids park up there to do car wash and it's been to chilly in the mornings for that. Park in the high school lot and park as close to the park part that you can. You'll just have to walk the usual distance to get where you want to and there are two gazebos in the shade right there. We can put all of our stuff there and then it's the usual length of a walk from the gazebo to where you can play.

There are other places in the park we could play, but on the weekends, this is our best bet not to be surrounded by birthday kiddies and tons of other people. So...How to get there...

(You're coming from Henderson)...Go straight up Flamingo. Yep. Keep going....going.....going....When you hit the light at Buffalo. Go ALL the way to the light. Do not turn into the lot just because you see a park. Do NOT. Go to the light. You want to be in the turn lane. Turn right. You will still see the park now at your side. Though you will also see a high school with a giant "GRIZZLIES" sign on it. After you have made the right, keep going till you see your first turn off into the parking lot for the high school. There you are. I'll be waiting for anyone that is coming and just have my brother hold the gazebo.

Let me know what time you want to be there, Kurt. So, I don't show up at nine and no one is there till one. =P I'll probably leave my house at 10:30 so I can go in Walgreens for drinks and then walk the rest of the way.

I will double check where I'm talking about today when I go to town (in about two hours) and post confirmation or make alterations in a new post.

However...

This field is smaller than our usual one, Kurt. If Dante is bringing five more people and most of our current people come....You're going to hear some whining. If anyone knows about a bigger park that's just as close or rides can be offered to those that usually walk - that might be a good idea. I just thought about that while rereading the past posts on here. Up to y'all though. As long as the other park isn't the hell and gone out of the way.

Honestly fighting in a smaller area isn't a bad thing, in Belegarth, since we are unsanctioned the noobs from the city gave our spot away on thursdays, so now we fight on an area half the size of a football field, but its no problem for 8v8 or 10v10 fights. Even 3v3v3v3v3.

Also it would require you be more strategic?

Just let me know what time you'll be getting there. I'll head out at 10:30 and be there by 11 since I'm stopping for stuff.

Directions:

Make a right on Buffalo off of Flamingo. Then another right (can't miss it) into the high school parking lot. Someone will be there to direct you in! (Me). See y'all Saturday.

Actually, the part of the park that is behind the high school is huge, and no kids really go to that area.
It's a far walk from the High School's parking lot,
but if you park at the lot meant for the park, it isn't too bad.

And if you drive around behind the houses, they have sections to park at all along that area.

But whichever is easiest for you guys. =]

If you want, I can try to bring a cart or something to help carry all of the weapons and such.

Yes, I noticed its only a dirt lot on the google map. Their satellite images are a few years behind. On my road map, that I use at work, which is I believe two years old, maybe three, it doesn't show the park either, only the school.

I will try to come around 11 and reconnoiter before I park the long ship, er, Jeep.
