Practice Saturday, October 17th (12 noon)

We will be practicing at a new location (Spring Valley Park) due to Bite of Las Vegas taking over our usual spot (bastages) at 12 noon.

Please bring drinks or ice chests if you are able to. If not other members usually have enough to share.

Directions:
From Desert Breeze, go South on Durango and make a left on flamingo (East). Make a left on Buffalo the park should be on your right. keep going till you see your first turn off into the parking lot for the high school. Park as close to the park as you can. There should be two gazeebos near the parking where we should make camp.

My brother and I shall be there barring any unforseen last minute circumstance.

Its that time of the year again when they host that rock concert at Desert Breeze park. It's on the 17th. I don't know if we'd be able to practice that day.

We could....

a. Meet at a different park. (Isn't that "All american park" down a few blocks on Rainbow or buffalo or something?

b. Do a garb hunt.

c. Do a weapon's build at a park or someone's house.

d. Cancel practice.

id love a wepon build i realy want to learn how to make some stuff:)but i realy wanna do more fightin too im startin to get a feel for it btw theres a realy nice park near my house thats almost always nearly empty its on spring valley drive cant think of the name i find out and post again it later.the park has realy big open space and a hill mabey have a king of the hill type match lol

King of the hill, how is that played?

There is a park across from the high school. Rather than going up to Durango, you stop at Buffalo. There's a park right there.

Though going to the one by Michael's is kinda cool sounding.

Kinda want to wait to do weapons build....*whispers* I'm to broke right now and I want to participate. <_<

The park next to the high school has tons of space toward the back, behind Spring Valley.

And it's literally a two minute drive from Desert Breeze.

But, I wouldn't mind any of those options.


....Except maybe cancelling practice.

I do know that the Bite of Las Vegas doesn't cover the area of the park that we fight at.

It just might be a bit deafening.

LOL you know i kinda assumed there would be an analog of king of the hill in dagorhir but now that i think of it any way you try to score that would be realy complicated LOL in normal king of the hill its a time thing one person keeps the hill as long as he/she can but that brings visions of 15 ppl all running at me with shields and spears and swords oh my!!!!!!!! but mabey use a rope and outline a perimiter of the "hill" and have a team on the hill as defenders and a surrounding team trying to elliminate them im not good with details so if anyone can figure out a way to make it work it might be fun

Sounds like Relic. It's where there's teams of four. There's a 'relic' in the middle (usually Konrad's bag). Whomever is standing on it is immune to missile attacks and their team has to defend them. You have to stay on it successfully for a count of ten. If you get knocked off, you have to start counting all over again. The relic is in the middle and every team vies for it and to stay on it for that period of time before they win.

I have materials to make some weapons, but I never had the time to make one (as in I procrastinated).

For what its worth. I missed last saturday's practice so I wouldn't mind fighting at a different spot. If that nearby school has a wide open field why not use it for this Saturday. The temperature has been cooler so I don't think a lack of shade would kill us.

As far as a Weapon's build day. I talked to my wife about maybe having it at our house on another Saturday (after practice or in lieu) But we can't make weapon's inside the house. I can set up tables, lights & a power outlet outside on the driveway. If we do it in the evening it will be cool enough. We can have drinks, snacks and I can even fire up some charcoal on the barbie if anyone wants to barbque. I'll get back to you on what day.

the hubub is that the concert won't be any where near the practice area. so i think we should continue practice at desert breeze as normal.

ok 4get wat i said surt. lets move practice. i talk to a public relations guy with the mix fm event and by the sounds of it the traffic and parking will be horrendous! we shood move it to a different park.

yeah i agree with dante the park right next to spring valley is nice and isnt very far from where desert breeze is, its also nice and spacious and not a whole lot of people will be there
