| Okay, I can't remember where I read it, on a Bel post or a Dag post, but it was called an Osgilith battle. It was like an Island connected by two bridges. The island was Osgilith and had a defending team against I imagine two attacking teams on either end. Something like that. Sounded interesting.

| You could do something like a three island battle, with a flag on the middle island, with two bridges connecting all three. Something like this: ___ l A l===lFlag l===l B l l__l===l____l===l__l
= is bridges | |

| I like that. I think there would be two cones at the ends of A and B. These cones would be 'citadel's' for that teams side. The citadel's are rez points. rez would be 10 second count. The object would be to storm the island, take the flag and plant it on your enemies citadel to win the game. The minute the flag touches the citadel the game is over. The flag has to be held when it touches the citadel, it can not be thrown to it.
Swimming or no swimming?
Some have swimming rules whereby you can move on your knees but you can not wear armor and you must have one hand free at all times. So if you have a weapon and a shield, you could keep one or the other unless you sheath the weapon or have a back strap for the shield.
You could have swimming as a Army style 'high crawl' with weapon dragged in one hand and shield thrown on top of the back while you crawl on your belly.
Or no swimming. Mostly in Barad'Dun we seem to favour Deep OrcChasm's or lava streams that incinerate friend and foe alike.

| What would symbolize the islands? A large tarp? Or like 4 cones, and you can't go off them? | |

| Could do either, but between me and Kilanos we actually have alot of rope that could be used for the island and bridge. I also have cones and some nasty old outdoor rugs that could be, um dusted off (Romeo!) and used as bridges.

| Maybe there is another take on this Osgilith battle. Maybe 3 teams, one holds the central island with their standard. This is a detachment of Gondor knights. They are fully armoured, head to toe, in plate. They can have any weapons and shields. Their helmets have faceplates so they are immune to missile fire to the head.
On one side is a detachment of Men from Harad, Eastern folk who have allied with Sauron. These lads do not have any shields. They may carry bows, florentine, single blues, and Reds, but no spears.
On the other side is a detachment of Orc's from Mordor. These nasty brutes have only blues and shields with a sprinkling of spears. They may also have one Troll whose weapon may be a blue and though he swings it one handed, it must be treated as a Red. The Troll's body is considered Armored.
There is a cone on each side representing a citadel but there is no Rez for anyside. The men of Harad and the Orc's are in competition to see who can get the White Tree standard of the men of Gondor and bring it to their citadel in victory. This means that if the knights are all killed, the Orcs and men of Harad will fight one another over the flag. Victory goes to either who gets the flag to their citadel, or to the knights of Gondor if they kill everyone else and hold on to Osgilith.
Then again, for simplicity's sake, we can just make it three even teams, any weapons, with the same objectives.
We can make it a 'timed' fight. Each team will defend Osgilith and the team that holds it the longest is a winnerof the timed event, as well as whichever enemy team wins the flag in the end of each fight.
What do you think?
