War of Reckoning II....

An Tir Dearg's event, War of Reckoning II, is set for February 18-20th.

I am planning, as last year, to make it a daytrip on Saturday the 19th. Leave around 6 or 7am our time, arrive ATD around 9/10 their time (mountain time) pay troll, weapon's check, fight all day, then feast, leaving around 9/10 arriving home around 11pm.

Its slightly less than a 2 hour drive for all who are interested in going. Those who want to camp should head out there on Friday. Those who want to make it a day trip, we can meet Saturday morning at Desert Breeze park, and then head out together.

Mary and I will be there with as many people as I can talk into coming.
I would like to try to make this a really big, fun event and need your help to do it.
The St George group is already getting pretty big and we have every reason they will have about 35 people there. If you guys all come that will be like 60.
I went to Chaos war 3 times and there were only like 60-80 preople, back at the begining.
I plan to bring 3 with me and expect about 6 more from here.
Paksha so coming(baring disaster) from Id and will bring at least 2 and inspised more.
I'm also working on the people in So Cal.
If we get everyone in the South West to start thinking about coming and talking about on the various forums, we could have over a hundred people before you know it.
The South West need to have it's own event. Between you guy and the Bel people, there are plenty of folks down there to have a huge event. You all drive up here and into Id in the Summer. I'm positve that everyone up north will drive down ther for a chance to fight in Feb.
I know we can make this happen.

I'll post some stuff on Fugl Brenna forum (Phoenix), Desert Wind (S. Cal, Palm Springs), Anduril (Irvine) Andor (San Diego) and Aggelgorod (LA, S. Cal Dag) and see what we drum up. It's a 3 month leeway so that is good timing to get people planning.

So....it's coming up soon. Who is going? And who is going for a day and who is going for the weekend (barring rain or something awful while there)? Personally I'd like to go for the weekend since I have a four day weekend off from college for the 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st. I'd just have to be back for class for college mathematics at 9am on the 22nd.

I and my brother need a ride though. And while I'd like to stay the weekend I know that most here like I have class too or work. So the weekend may not be viable. But I can hope. XD

War of Reckoning's location has been changed due to BLM permitting and insurance regulations. The new location is now on private land in Littlefield, Arizona. The site is just outside of Mesquite and about a 30 minute closer drive for us.

For those of us who have made this trip several times. The location is just outside of Mesquite and before crossing the mountain pass to St. George. So all supply runs, and what not, can be done to Mesquite over flat terrain. The site is just off the highway and from Isk's recon, seems to be perfect and the landowner is happy to have us.

I'll be putting in for time off those three days. I want to camp for two days, feast, and be merry. Since I just got my Barad'Dun colors today. I'll be happy to fight for the realm... as long as Heretics checks don't bounce. *cough* I mean coin purse.

I'd like to talk to everyone who is going to find out travel arrangements. I assume there'll be some sort of pre war meeting at one of our practices.

I'm prepping my gear now.

Alright guys, count down has begun. Akeria will keep track of how many days we have left. Let's get our garb in order. There will be garb police on the field, ATD says they are not worried about level of garb off the field, but this may bring some heat from some of the long standing Garb guys that are coming to the event. Where do I stand on this issue? I like garb, I like the historical look, even if its fleeting. I like to feel it. Get your weapons in order so they don't fail weapon's check. Get your camping gear in order if you will be camping.

Also, at practice, start doing some team and field practice as a realm with an imaginary enemy. We will be doing realm battles. Let's do some Realm Army practice. Everyone together, Heretic leading. Let's be a well oiled machine.
