So long as you trust yourself, have confidence in your kit (sword + board I presume?) then you'll do fine. Its really only 7 matches, best out of 3, so it isn't anything to harsh lol

I'll be going to WoR, either with Templar on Saturday, or I'll drive up Friday Night depending on how I feel D:

| I'm putting this thread back on topic:
Bring wet weather gear guys. As beautiful as the weather is, the prediction for Friday, Saturday and Sunday in St. George (Let's hope they are wrong) is 'RAIN'. Yep, all three days. Friday and Saturday is listed as 'A few showers' with a temperature of '47 to 49 degrees during the day and 31 degrees and night. Bring wool. Wool socks, blankets and an undertunic of wool or felt would be good too. Fuck garb in camp if you don't have anything that is warm, bring a blanket to act as a cloak or wear a tabard of cloth over your warm jacket or some sweats and longjohns if you got 'em. During the fighting you will want to wear garb with some longjohns or something for warmth but you will warm up while staying active. Just have a blanket/cloak or jacket ready to throw on to warm up and then change in to warm, dry duds inside your tent.
Sunday, the forecast says 'SNOW'! Then the following Monday and Tuesday is clear and Sunny. WTF! I will be leaving early on Sunday morning, hopefully before any snow!
It may not rain much, but it will be cold, especially at night. So be prepared. On the other hand it may rain alot so I'm going to PM Isk and ask if him our vehicles are going to have a problem getting in and out of the location. Remember to bring a tow line, and shovel's whatever, just in case.
The forecast could be wrong, I'm just saying "Be prepared."

| The $15 is mostly to cover the expenses such as the port a johns and the Feast on Saturday night. I'll check with Isk and see if there is any change, but I believe at every event is charged to everyone, combatants and non combatants.

| I don't think Garb would be required for spectators, but dressing up is half the fun. | |

| Garb is expected of spectators too. It depends on who is enforcing the garb rules. This is an event and not a practice. An Tir Dearg's stance, from what I've read, is that they expect good garb on the field, and basic garb off the field. They are lax on off the field garb. However they will be under pressure from those in the Bel community who want to see garb on everyone at all times which is now a sore issue lately. Lack of garb can get you thrown off the field and possibly out of the event depending on whose event it is and how they are enforcing the garb rules.
There has been a huge debate about garb on the Bel boards. A big issues is modern hats like Bacchus Fedora, that he made by hand, but still is a modern design. Its another question for Isk. You can ask him via a PM from our boards and he will respond.

| Just checked the forecast with weather underground and it looks like it may rain Saturday and Sunday, but snow is not on their schedule for St. George. Like Tibby said on our board, the weather often blows over and hits a little further up in the hills. Daytime forecast temp is still in the 50's, which is AWESOME fighting temp, IMO. Night will cool off. With a little luck it'll still be pretty nice to fight in, like last year. The food at least should be hot and on-time.
The fee is the same for everyone as the only thing it covers that is specific to the fighting is the award belt flags and I managed to keep that under $30. The rest of the costs are the same regardless of fighting status. We may bump the price to $20 next year to cover insurance and facility issues and at that point we may give a price break just to be nice, although there still really won't be a difference.

| Darth Cheeseheart, who now goes by Emperor Vader, is looking for some crash space either thursday night or Friday. He is one of the leaders from Anduril. He was here for Fool's Raid and recently held battle of the Ring in Irvine. He is looking to stay close to St. George to make the drive easier. Anyone got space, go to the Bel Forum here and post it up and get in touch with him. http://board.belegarth.com/viewtopic.php?f=83&t=36415&p=487545#p487545Konradr | |
