Realm Practice (June 4th 2011 @12pm)

We will be practicing at our usual location in Desert Breeze Park at 12 noon.

Please, for the love of god, continue to bring drinks or ice chests if you are able to. We don't need people passing out on the field and it's not fair for one or two people to be expected to shoulder the responsibility to make sure everyone is hydrated.

As was mentioned at the last few practices, every person needs to bring enough water to get themselves through practice. For those who don't bring water you may be asked to sit out some of the fights if it is determined to be too dangerous for you to be on the field with limited hydration. Dehydration is serious and dangerous and we will not take any chances with possible health issues on the field.

For any new members joining us, the practice location is off the corner of Durango and Twain on the Southwest corner of the park. If you turn in off of twain you will see a parking lot on your left with a children's playground behind it. We are usually able to get one of the gazebos off
the playground.

I hear one Warwolf is making pancakes for some Black Lions on Saturday morning then we shall prepare a feast for the realm and spectators of the Lions vs Warwolves duels.

I'm going to ask someone to please grab a pavilion as Izzy and I (and her parents) are going to be bringing things that we will need to cook on the bbq there.

We will be a little late, but will be there no later than 1pm

Great fights today guys, we had 4-5 people walk on and want to start fighting. Great job everyone, the food was great too! Thanks Izzy and Convel for bringing food to BBQ and everyone else who contributed.

I always miss the fun ones.

Congratulations to the Black Lions for their Unit victory, 2 -1 vs the War wolves. We will deliver our unit pennon to you as soon as I make one and then we'll steal it back. Thanks to my guys for fighting hard. Can't wait to see the pics and vids.

Thx for all the food guys. I feel bad for not contributing so I will have to make it up on the next potluck.

Welcome to the game Peter. Remember to wear clothes that have no logos and after a month will start talking about garb. Also, you need to fight sword and board for awhile. Its the basic combo. Once you get that down you can move on to 'red' like your axe. Swords and shields are not too hard to make, it just takes time and supplies. We'll show you how eventually and you can make your own. For now just use what we have. Our loaner weapons weren't there today but should be next week.

How do i join a unit???

Wait for a month at least. Get to know everyone. Talk to members of the units, their leaders, etc. Watch them. See which one might be of interest to you. Each unit has its own standards and requisites for new members to join. Talk, watch and then if you want to join, you must ask and meet the requirements.

Don't forget to see if you can find some good padding for your leg(s) Peter. Sometimes people might forget about your fibrosis(sp?) in the field of battle. Football leg/groin padding should be perfect.

You might find some at Walmart, or a sports store. Probably around $15?

practice was al........little slow. but much better than what we've had and i think the first time in awhile we actually had fun. i was having fun just watching!! can't wait for next practice
