Realm Practice July 22 @ 12pm

We will be practicing at our usual location in Desert Breeze Park at 12 noon.

Please continue to bring drinks or ice chests if you are able to. We don't need people passing out on the field and it's not fair for one or two people to be expected to shoulder the responsibility to make sure everyone is hydrated.

As was mentioned at the last few practices, every person needs to bring enough water to get themselves through practice. For those who don't bring water you may be asked to sit out some of the fights if it is determined to be too dangerous for you to be on the field with limited hydration. Dehydration is serious and dangerous and we will not take any chances with possible health issues on the field. There are water fountains available if you need to refill your bottles.

For any new members joining us, the practice location is off the corner of Durango and Twain on the Southwest corner of the park. If you turn in off of twain you will see a parking lot on your left with a children's playground behind it. We are usually on the hill with trees, look for the people in colorful clothes waving foam weaponry above their heads.

What, no one told you?

The Chapter News forum has been set aside for my exclusive use. However, if you ask nicely, I'll let you post on it every once in awhile, Sarabi.

Why don't we just keep posting it in chapter news... rather than having one standalone post that we expect newbies to navigate too? By posting weekly with a set date, and time our site doesn't look so sedentary and actually looks active.

Why do we have a chapter news AND our chapter again? :/ Why not merge the two, and put "Getting Started" in there with maps and links to general info about the practices, but still maintain the weekly anouncements and postings. A lot of people get emails because of the boards, so when you post weekly about practice it emails them.

It was a suggestion on my part because new people constantly posted in "our Chapter" section with the same questions "When do you guys practice and where" they didn't know where to look. My suggestion was to have a topic specifically that will tell them "Look here for practice times and locations" so they could skip those questions and just introduce themselves. Smithy took my suggestion and created the topic.

Now to see if it works, let's see if the next newbie finds it or just posts asking the same questions.

I weekly practice thread can still be posted in this topic for us old hats just so everyone can say if they are showing up or not, or if its been moved or canceled or something witty and off topic.... Now...

I knew about the new forum but I didn't know we were supposed to post this over there lol :p

It's only the vets asking about both forums, so imo, the newbs already found the new forum, and it's the vets having the problem.

Great practice today guys, lots of people out! Glad to see our marshal out again, go Demie! Remember if you need help getting fighters on the field and heralding all you have to do is ask!

Agreed! and practice was awesome! was so happy to see our marshall out it was awesome! I EVEN FOUGHT.. i sucked but it was fun!

Yeah, I totally enjoyed myself.

Definitely gonna be there next week. Might make the BL practice (gives me more chances to kill Taco!), but I'll have to see how everything works out.

But no matter what, I'll see ya next Saturday. Might even get me some garb!
